Garden Girl (AKA Catherine Duniam) is a character created to promote gardens, green roofs and walls, and increase urban vegetation. Garden Girl appeared at Oaks Day Races at Flemington Race course in a living outfit, which consisted of real live plants.

Having grown up on a farm in the lush North West Tasmania, Catherine's ultimate vision is to bring more nature into the city. After achieving qualifications in Architecture at the University of Tasmania she continued with Postgraduate study in Environmental Planning at RMIT. Catherine believes increasing urban vegetation will help solve the myriad problems that occur in a condensed cityscape.
